About Us

We are insurance people working in the technology space, not technologists trying to break into the insurance industry.

Trionfo roots trace back to 1988 when our CEO and Co-Founder, John DiVito founded Flexible Benefit Service Corporation (Flex) in Chicago.  Flex is a nationally recognized insurance firm.  However, as Flex grew, John and his team realized there were too many inefficiencies in how insurance was distributed, purchased, maintained and renewed. In order to streamline how carriers, brokers, employers and employees engage within the insurance value chain, John decided to use his expertise and wrap InsureTech around it.

In the early 2000’s, John hired Uday Patel (Trionfo’s President and Co-Founder) to build technology that would alleviate the paper processes that typically burden brokers, their clients and how carriers work with each of them.  The technology Uday built was successful in helping Flex become more efficient with the carriers, brokers and employers they served.

By 2011, a large health carrier approached John and Uday asking if the technology they built and use internally could help that carrier move data from a BenAdmin system they had recently acquired, into the carrier’s internal administrative systems.  The answer was ‘Yes’ and Trionfo was officially born.

A few years later, Trionfo won the opportunity to power that carrier’s small group marketplace.  This is where Trionfo became the InsureTech company we are today.  By partnering at the carrier level and powering their marketplace, Trionfo was able to bring together our rating engine for the carrier, allow brokers to run quotes/proposals, onboard employers with digital paperwork, employees can enroll into multiple benefits, everyone has access to BenAdmin as well as consolidated billing and renewal capabilities.  One true end-to-end platform for every stakeholder in the benefits value chain.

Today, Trionfo works with multiple health and ancillary carriers, their distribution channels, employers, employees and individuals. bringing everything under one platform has helped to make a cumbersome process more streamlined for everybody involved.
